SMD endevours to support our local entrepreneurs and service providers surrounding the mine.

As far as possible, we purchase local fresh produce - such as vegetables - from the community farmers for consumption on the mine.

We support local business by using their services such as hiring of transport vehicles. We capacitate local businesses and shops by procuring local goods as far as possible.
