SMD and Choron BV agreement on the 108.39 carat pink

Storm Mountain Diamonds (Pty) Ltd (“SMD”) is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement with Choron BV (“Choron”) for the spectacular pink diamond weighing 108.39 carats discovered at the KAO mine in March 2023.

SMD is leading diamond producer that continues to recover exceptional pink diamonds at the renowned KAO mine in the Kingdom of Lesotho. This historic 108.39 carat diamond is one of the largest pink diamonds ever to be discovered globally and its rarity is underlined by the fact that it is a Type 2A diamond.

Founded in 1985, Choron is a leading diamond player with a division specialized in the manufacturing of exceptional rough diamonds. As custodians of many of the remarkable diamonds uncovered in recent years, Choron is delighted to take on the responsibility to reveal the beauty within this gift from Mother Nature.
