Environmental Social Governance Campaign Held at SMD

Storm Mountain Diamonds (SMD) held another Environmental Social Governance (ESG) campaign to raise awareness to its employees and the communities surrounding its operations on the 30th of August 2023 at its mining operation at Kao, in the Botha-Bothe district.

The awareness campaign saw different departments, sections and contractors show casing their knowledge of ESG through different and very creative forms of art. The event included performances from Thope Tse Khang, Lesela Oa Mapoteng and Naleli ea Kao, with different prizes and gifts for participants and winners.

The event further saw the launch of two Albums of two of the employees of the mine which also featured songs on ESG sponsored by the mine.

It is through these quarterly initiatives that the mine aims to raise awareness to all its stakeholders about our commitment to ESG and working towards ensuring Sustainability.
